Hi,

I am running winshuttle query on schedule.  Schedule run complete successfully without error.  However when I try to open data file it gives error "xxxx.xlsx is locked for editing by "Gateway Winshuttle.SAP"".  Does anyone encounter this error?

I have 10+ more queries running in same manner, and none of them has this issue.

Hi,

I have not used the scheduling option, but the only time I get this message is when I leave the query open in Winshuttle and access the Excel file. Is it the last query that which you scheduled, maybe Winshuttle 'locks' the file.

Hi Akiko.

We typically see this error whenever the Excel file is open directly in Excel or indirectly in Studio.

If the file is stored on a server, a server administrator can see who/what has it locked.  At that point the administrator can help you determine if the file is in use by someone else or if the lock needs to be removed (reset).
