Vertical Mapper used to do interpolation between point data. Is there anything like that today? I do not have access to vertical mapper.

    Hi Martin

Vertical Mapper has been replaced by MapInfo Pro Advanced which adds raster grid capabilities to MapInfo Pro.

MapInfo Pro Advanced has been available since the first 64 bit version of MapInfo Pro.

You can give it a try by activating a trial version of Advanced in your standard MapInfo Pro 15.2/16.0/17.0.

Here's a article on the differences between the standard MapInfo Pro and MapInfo Pro Advanced: https://li360.pitneybowes.com/s/article/Get-on-the-Grid-What-is-in-the-standard-MapInfo-Pro-vs-the-Advanced-version

If a fairly simple IDW or TIN interpolation is all you need, a grid thematic map can be created without Vertical Mapper in MIPro already. If it's a more complicated interpolation like nearest neighbor, kriging, etc., you need a more advanced tool.
