  • 1.  Query - Write Records per Line based on Input Row

    Posted 09-12-2022 13:38
    Hello all,

I am trying to develop a query where I can have one column of input criteria that the user provides (in my script, it is Location Code field in SAP) and then the output information is customer data based on that field. I am able to get information returned from SAP but it is never on the correct line matching up with the criteria column. This is an issue because users will input a large list of location codes and some should return data from SAP while others will not exist and should return nothing on that row. Is this possible to do in a Query? I am attaching what I have so far - in the data file, there is a row of information that was returned but it should be for location code ABC123456 on row 10. Instead, it gave that info for row 15. I have tried looking at run settings, data settings, criteria settings, etc.

Please let me know if anyone has any experience with this or knows how this can be done in Query.

    Thanks,
    Knavis

Knavis, why don't you select KNA1.LOCCO as an output too ?

If you keep the column B as an input and insert another column with the output KNA1.LOCCO values, all outputs will match up.
I usually separate the input column a bit from the output columns, even with another colour.

    hope that helps,
    best , Jan
