I have seen these errors when the template file has been run against one system and you try to run it against a different system.
Open the Excel file up, look for Hidden Tabs, you will probably see a Winshuttle tab, delete that tab and try running it.
I have also had success after the file is open in Studio, when on the Run tab, clicking on the Excel icon to open the file, save it and reload it in Studio.

Subject: Winshuttle error, data file is protected by a password?
Yes it is.
The excel format wasn't xls in the first place, it was either xlsx or xlsm. So, the solution of changing excel format doesn't apply here.
Is there more solution to this?

Hi Nat
Could it be the file is on OneDrive or SharePoint? If so, here is a support artcle: https://customer.precisely.com/s/article/Data-file-issues-on-OneDrive-or-a-network-Drive-360040400411?language=en_US

I have faced an error which happens consistently (30% of the time), when I try to run a script. The data file (excel) doesn't have any password protected.
I have tried:
-Changing network connection
-Different scripts
-Different location of the script and data file
-New script creation
Please advise.
