Good afternoon all,

I have developed a language extension for MapBasic in Visual Studio Code so that it may be used as a development environment for MapBasic applications. My goal was to at the very least reach feature parity with the Notepad++ setup I found on here which I believe I have achieved, plus I have included snippets for block declarations, and you get built in theming as the extension supports VS Code themes.

You can download the extension through the VS Code marketplace (MapBasic - Visual Studio Marketplace) or by searching for MapBasic in the in-app extensions marketplace. I also have a set of scripts I developed to compile and run MapBasic applications through VS Code using tasks that I can provide if there is any interest.
