  • 1.  VA02 Script successful in debug but fails in run mode

    I have a script that works perfectly in debug mode with the system filling in the fields per the mapping and me just entering through the steps but when I actually run the script it in run mode it fails and gets the generic "No batch input data for dynpro (SAPMV45A 4001 4.0: Screen Container for Overview Screens (normal header)) " as if some data in a field is missing.  My script has been submitted and approved in Evolve production.  It ran just fine in Evolve QA.

    I'm at my wits end.  Has anyone run into this or have any ideas how to correct this?

    The scripts and excel spreadsheet are attached.

    Hi Rita

    Normally I would say check the Start SAP GUI, but you have that.

    I can't run this script, so I don't know what happens when you try to configure the product.  The issue may be there, but again, not certain.

    One thing I noticed is that the end of your loop included the screen name of the last screen to save.  It should look something like this:

    Please give that a try and see if it helps.

    Hello Sigrid,

    Thanks so much for your response.  I still can't get the reconfigure script to run evn after changing the end of my loop.  Here is another script where I am having the same issue with; it recognizes the order numbers in debug mode, but not when I run it.  This is a Sales Order reprice script so maybe it's one you'll be able to run?  Attached are the files.

    Yes, I have run into this. If I am thinking right what I had to do was to redo it again but, change the Recording mode from the Standard to Batch input mode. Also, in the Script that I have has the box on the run tab for Start SAP GUI unchecked.

    Hi Rita,

    I tried running this in my system and where it is failing for me (after adjusting the loop as Sigrid mentioned), is in the configuration of the line item. It goes into the screen, but isn't able to select a line. This may be one of those scripts that needs to be created in GUI mode, or you may have better luck with a BAPI.
