    Hi,

    Could anyone please tell me how to add Google map as base map in Mapinfo pro 17? Can we use Google maps api connection rather than .KML file?

    I'm not sure what the exact license terms are around using Google Maps inside a desktop application like MapInfo Pro. I'm quite sure you would need some sort of license agreement with Google to do so

    MapperG, an add-in for MapInfo Pro, is one option for gaining access to Google Maps inside MapInfo Pro.

    You can also use the Google Maps Tile Services but according to this thread on StackOverflow, that violates their license agreement.
