    USA Address Fabric DataTM: Move to Global Data Schema

    Abstract

    If you are a USA Address Fabric Data Customer, please read this very important Product Support Announcement. The USA Address Fabric will move to the Global Data Schema format for the March 2026 (v2026.03) release. Specific details can be found below.

    Overview of Features and Functionality 

    As we extend our Address Fabric products into new countries, our mission is to create a standardized and interoperable portfolio. The benefits of this new data schema format are as follows:

    • A set of standard address components to provide our clients the ability to easily expand into other geographic markets
    • Attribute fields that present address locations as both full concatenated address strings and individual parsed components

    For the March 2026 Release, we will also be improving the User Experience for downloading our data from the Precisely Data Experience, by offering separate download options for the Change and Product Statistics files, respectively. Clients will see these new options within the "File Format" dropdown available from the download pages of the Precisely Data Experience.  Please see image below for an example.

    This change will allow customers to:
    • Choose their download preference between a Full Product zip package versus a Change File zip package. Please note the Change files will no longer be available in the Full Product zip package with the full Address Fabric product file and will be available via this separate download. See sample zip packages below.
    • Download the Product Statistics file without having to download the full product zip package. Please note the Product Statistics Excel file will continue to be available in all zip packages. See sample zip packages below.
    • For those Clients who use our Automatic PDX Download Tools and Scripts, please keep in mind that these scripts will need to be updated if you wish to pull the new Change and Statistic zip packages.

    Supporting Resources

    Precisely understands the disruptive nature of a breaking change, and how important the Address Fabric is to your use cases and business processes. If you were an USA Address Fabric customer as of December 20, 2024, you were invited to participate in a survey to help us assess the appropriate timing and planning for this change. Based on the results of that survey we have concluded to move forward with this change for the March 2026 release. 

    To assist with planning for this update, please refer to the attached resources to support any necessary changes to ETL processes or platform configurations.

    • 2025 to 2026 Data Field Mapping - USA Address Fabric Schema.xlsx - Mapping of legacy schema to new schema with a few address examples. See zip packages for sample data files.
    • Data Sample Zip Packages:
      • ADDRESS_FABRIC_USA_YYYYMM_TXT.zip – Main product files.
      • ADDRESS_FABRIC_CHANGE_USA_YYYYMM_TXT.zip – Change files comparing current to previous monthly release.
      • ADDRESS_FABRIC_STATISTICS_USA_YYYYMM_TXT.zip – Product Statistics File. Information in this zip package is also found in the Main and Change file zip packages. 
    If you are not quite ready to move to the new Global Format in time for the March release, there are two options available:
    1. You may continue to use a previous version of USA Address Fabric prior to the March 2026 release in the legacy data schema format, or
    2. You may request a script that Precisely has written to convert the new format to the old format. This script will be available for one year, at which time it will be discontinued.
