UPDATED: Vietnam Administrative & Postal Code Alignment – Support Announcement

Dear Precisely Customer:
We are writing to inform you of an upcoming update to our Vietnam address data that aligns with recent national administrative and postal code changes.
Vietnam has implemented significant updates to administrative boundaries, city names, regions, and postal codes, and Precisely is preparing to reflect these changes in an upcoming release.
What is changing
- Vietnam administrative boundaries and postal codes have been rebuilt and aligned to newly published national standards
- Several regions and cities have been renamed, merged, or restructured
- Some legacy province-level identifiers used in older address formats may no longer exist under the updated standard
What to expect
In a future release, Precisely will refresh the existing Vietnam dataset to reflect the updated national administrative and postal code standards. We will not be delivering parallel or duplicate datasets. Instead, the current dataset will be updated once our underlying data vendors complete their changes.
This approach is intended to keep the experience simple and consistent, while ensuring customers benefit from the most accurate and up-to-date Vietnam address data.
What you should do
- Be aware that a change to Vietnam administrative and postal code data is forthcoming in a future release
- Review your use of Vietnam administrative and postal code fields to understand potential downstream impacts
- Monitor upcoming release notes for detailed timing and implementation guidance
Transition guidance
