  • 1.  UI Locale settings for MapInfo

    Hi Everyone,

    I want to set UI language to be Chinese for MapInfo, when i am trying to fetch MapInfo In French, it is appearing in French successfully by using this command.

    "C:\Program Files\MapInfo\Professional\MapInfoPro.exe" -UiLocale=fr

    But when i am using "cn" for getting Chinese UI, it is opening MapInfo in English language. 

    "C:\Program Files\MapInfo\Professional\MapInfoPro.exe" -UiLocale=cn

    My MapInfo version is 2021.1 build 33, request your help in knowing how to set Chinese UI.

    Hi Sarar

    You can find the language codes in the MapInfo Pro Install Guide.

    For Simplified Chinese, the code is zh-CN.

    Another way to do this is to copy MapInfoPro.exe.config from the zh-CN under your installation folder to your installation folder.

    Pro will then use this when launched.

    I would back up the original first.

    I suggested the end user contacting me to use simplified chinses during installation, as they are currently at evaluating the software and wanted to keep it simple.
