    Hello Automate Community!

For this week's tip, we're gonna look at how to get the usage reports in Automate Evolve and Studio Manager.

    What are Usage Reports?

Automate Evolve Usage Reports are tools used within the Automate Evolve platform to track and analyze the usage of various scripts and transactions. These reports provide detailed insights into how different components of the system are being utilized, which can help in optimizing performance and identifying any issues.

Why would you use these reports?

These reports help administrators and business users track and understand:

§  Who is using the platform: Identifying active users, their roles, and the frequency of their usage.

§  What solutions and scripts are being used: Tracking the popularity and utilization of different automation solutions, workflows, and scripts built within Automate Evolve.

§  How often are solutions and scripts being executed: Monitoring the volume and frequency of data submissions and process executions.

§  When are solutions and scripts being used: Analyzing usage patterns over time to identify peak periods and trends.

§  Potential bottlenecks or areas for optimization: Identifying underutilized or inefficiently used solutions.

    Where do I find them?

    Administration App/User App>Menu>Reports

    How do you access them?

When Evolve is installed, access to several reports is provided by default, including 3 usage reports –

    §  Transaction Usage

    §  Query Usage

    §  Workflow Usage

These reports work on predefined SQL Views. Here is an example of one of these reports –

On the Reports page, your role will determine what activity you can perform. For Usage reports, Report Admins can perform a variety of actions, including scheduling a report, sharing a report, and viewing the report data. For other roles such as Global AdminsApp Admins, and End Users, they can perform only the following two actions on the Reports page - Pin a report to the home page and view the report data

To view the report, click on the Usage Report you want to look at and click View Data –

You will then see the data.

If filters are included on the report, you can customize the report to meet your specific criteria (i.e. SAP User, TCode).

You can also download the data to Exel.

If you are a Report Admin, you can schedule or share the report.

To schedule a report, in the Action column, click on the 3 Dot icon, and click Schedule.

Select the Schedule option. Then click on the Schedule button to go to the Calendar page.

You can then set the Date and Time to schedule for the report. The report will then be scheduled.

Report Admins can also share the reports with any user app group. To share a report, in the Action column, click on the 3 Dot icon, and click Share.

All user apps and their groups will appear in a side panel.

Simply select the group you want to share the report with. Click Save to share the report and you should then see a successful message.

I hope you find this helpful. Have a great week!
