  • 1.  Task on user but request closed.

    Hello,

    Has anyone come across users having task assigned to them, getting the error 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object', all while the task is showing closed and no open task assigned when looking at the task?  Are there specific triggers for this and what can be done to remove them?

    Hi Scott,

    This is a generic error, and the root cause cannot be identified without reviewing the logs.

    Could you please share the solution details and specify the exact step or task where the error is occurring?

    If a task is assigned to multiple users and one of them closes it, an appropriate message will be displayed to the other users. Additionally, if updates are occurring through plugins or promoted/solution fields, especially involving special characters or edge cases, it may cause an error and prevent the task from being created properly.

    To help us investigate further, please share the relevant solution details and Evolve logs so we can identify the exact cause.
