I didnt see this smf record type as being supported.  Any chance we could add it eventually?

    Hi Ronald.

Thanks for the question.  If you can create an item in the Ideas portal, we'll certainly look at it - https://Ideas.precisely.com

SMF type 6 records printing activity. What would you use it for, or perhaps, why do you need this?  A real world use case always helps with prioritization, so feel free to put as much as you care to in that Ideas entry and we'll evaluate it.

    Hi Nick,

    Thanks for responding.

We would use it to keep track of the Infoprint totals.  Say, date time and number of lines.

    Hi Ronald,

As Nick mentioned, you need create an item in the Ideas portal in order for Ironstream Product Management to evaluate the requirement.

    Please go to:
    https://ideas.precisely.com

On the left side, under FILTER BY CATEGORY click on:
    > Ironstream

    then under Ironstream click on:
    > Ironstream for <your_target>
    (Ironstream for Splunk for example)

    then click on:
    > Ironstream for <your_target> for IBM Z
(Ironstream for Splunk for IBM Z for example)

This will filter and show you only the Precisely Ideas pertaining to your specific product.

You can then view and vote on any Ideas that you wish to see incorporated into the product.

If you don't see your idea in the list, click on 'Add a new idea' and complete the form, providing as much information as possible, including a Use Case - the Business Reason for the request and the pain point that the requested change would address for your business.  Why do you need this?  What issue would having this functionality resolve for your business?  The more information you can provide, the better chance Product Management has of evaluating and properly defining the product change you request (and the more likely it would be that others in this Knowledge Community would vote on it).
