  • 1.  Silent Install RSS Registry Keys

    Hello all,

    I am looking at the documentation here on Silent Install and Installing RSS Registry Keys

    Installing Silently • MapInfo Pro Install Guide • Welcome to the Precisely Help Center

    It mentions five registry keys: FeedTimeOut, ProductUpdate, ProductUpdateFrequency, NewsFeed, and NewsFeedFrequency

    Each key has a parameter value, for example FEEDTIMEOUT=1 to 60

    I want to know what the parameter values mean. Those details are not at the link I posted above.

    Hey Nick

    I suppose you are referring to these, right?

    • FEEDTIMEOUT=1 to 60 (seconds)
    • PRODUCTUPDATE=0 or 1. If PRODUCTUPDATE=1, the check for maintenance patches is enabled.
    • PRODUCTUPDATEFREQUENCY=1 to 90 (days)
    • NEWSFEED=0 or 1. If NEWSFEED=1, the check for Precisely-related news is enabled.
    • NEWSFEEDFREQUENCY=1 to 15 (days)

    I have added the "units" in red where relevant/missing.

    It refers to the settings in the Notification dialog
