  • 1.  Selecting Grid Tiles Where Roads Traverse the Grid

    Hi, I am working on a telecommuications project that has adopted the TIA TSB88.3 F standard for radio coverage verification.

    I have prepared grid (containing 20m by 200m tiles) that represents all the candidate tiles that coveraage compliance can be verified.

    However I have a drive route along which I will take samples.

    I need to know how to select just the grid tiles that the drive route (line) touches.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Gerard

    Are you using MapInfo Pro?
    If so, you can use the Select by Location tool to find all the grids that intersect your route.

    There's a bit more detail here: The New Select by Location feature
