  • 1.  Script a Transaction that outputs a report?

    HI All

    Im trying to create a script that outputs a file from an SAP transaction (its Customer Classification data) i cant do it via Query as its not a fixed table, and Transaction doesn't seem to let me action a script to put out a report either.

    Has anyone come across this method or query before and has a suitable resolution that might work please? Im using Winshuttle 12.1.

    I Managed to action this using a BAPI script in Transaction, allows me to set the folder location and report name and set a variable too, for anyone whos interested.

    Glad you found a BAPI,  Christian.

    You may potentially be able to do it in Query, too, but it's a somewhat complex process to join all of the tables, i.e. SAP didn't make it easy. :)

    If a BAPI works, that's the way to go!

    Hello christian

    I'm interested in how you were able to do this.  We have a custom Z transaction that pulls in our daily production schedule  that we then export to a .txt file that we then upload to another app .    Looking to automate the exporting of that report.

    Hi so i actually ran it with a GUI, not a BAPI, my apologies.

    and i recorded them as transactions, with a fixed file location our shared network and the same file name ending .txt.

    Script runs fine but does require me to be logged onto the machine as its a daily/weekly schedule, and then we pick up the .txt for the end use.

    happy to discuss further if you still need a steer in the right direction :)
