I'm trying to save a PDF of a map 16" x 18" and I'm getting a pixelated effect only on the lakes. There is a lake depth surface/grid under the lake layer to give the water a 'hillshade' effect, however it's only happening with the lakes and not the LiDAR hillshade. Is there a setting when exporting the PDF that could help with this?

    Thank you. -Leah

If you are able to convert your image to ECW and reprint to PDF- that might help resolve the tailing issue. Most Geotiffs printing to PDFs have this itailing ssue with the 64-bit unfortunately. I've try all variations of settings and nothing resolves the issue. Funny enough MapInfo 32 bit does not have any of those issues. Isn't that strange and annoying. Hope this issue is fixed soon.

    Hey Leah

I tried to reproduce your finding and ended up with a badly hatched PDF - I did however not look like yours at atll.

I could get rid of this pattern in two ways:
    1. Change the PDF resolution to 150 DPI
    2. Create a non-layered PDF
I have attached the 3 sample PDF files.
In MapInfo Pro, my layout looks like this:
DTK_Skærmkort_Dæmpet_WMS is my raster basemap that I have made 15% translucent.
Lyngsy_Dybde_Søbred is a raster with the depth of the lake.
