MapInfo Pro

We have an oddity where rotated text appears fine on the screen in the map but prints to pdf as a black box. This only seems to happen where we are delivering Mapinfo via Windows remote desktop rather than a local client. Our text files are just tab files provided by a supplier but we have tested on a version of our text files from an old Oracle DB and this seems to be fine in the pdf . Has anyone else encountered this and if so how did you cure it?, it is a shame the speed benefits of using windows RDS when working from home are affected in this way. Many Thanks Alan

We have seen this with certain fonts or fonts with a halo around the text, when going to pdf output.

Changing the font usually works or updating your MapInfo version to the latest.

The fact it is only happening with Remote Desktop is odd though.

I had something similar in PDFs - try looking/experimenting with the Fill Pattern

in Pro -> Options -> Styles -> Default Object Styles ->Region    set Fill Pattern to None
