  • 1.  Query inserting 2 blank rows when using APPEND option of Write records

    I have a query which is appending rows to an existing excel template which will then go away and update some SAP data using a tcode script.

    Everytime i run the append query it is adding 2 blank rows of data. 

    Maybe its a setting ?

    But how can i get the query so it doesn't write the 2 blank rows.?

    Hi Russel

    This was reported several years ago and we logged a ticket.  This is what I was told by our support team:

    This is as designed behavior. When Studio is deciding whether the script has reached the end of the data, it is searching in batches of five (rows). So you will always have between 4 and 1 blank rows. 

    I've asked out product team if this can be considered for a future release.  It may require an Idea be entered in the ideas portal, which may be helpful: https://ideas.precisely.com/?project=AUTM  I'll vote for it! :)
