Hi Kate,

I assume you click on the map and you get also close boundaries through the location search. That happens because when you click into the map SSA creates a circle of 4 pixels around the click and searches within that circle.

This is done as you would not find any point location by clicking in the map if you simply convert the clicked pixel into coordinates. That would be inaccurate to find points.

in addition to my statement above you can configure that pixel width in the project settings for each layer. See Search Width setting in below picture:
