One of the security services we use recently reported that my e-mail address (and another of a colleague) had been included in a Pitney Bowes data breach in April 2026. The only business we've ever had from PB was when they owned the MapInfo portfolio, before selling to Precisely. The breach included ~8.2m accounts, extracted from their Salesforce CRM, and included email addresses, job titles, names, phone numbers and physical addresses.
The report says that PB has got in touch with business customers, but I don't recall receiving anything about this. Indeed, I'm not sure why they hung on to my details after the sale to Precisely.
