Is it possible to include a enable 2020 URL that points to a specific record in an email and have that record open when clicked?

Currently, even if a user is already authenticated through SSO, when clicking on such a link (https://<EnableServer>.com/enable2020/item/<repoId>/<itemId>), Enable will open and the auth callback flow runs, but the original link is not opened and the user lands on the homepage.

Ideally whether the user has already logged into Enable or not, it would be beneficial to have the record load post-authentication.

Is this possible, has it been done before and/or is it something the SSO service can support?

While this functionality works in a non-SSO environment, it is not currently supported in an SSO environment. Because the logic resides within Enable's auth/callback code, this requires a solution from Precisely (Enterworks) Engineering rather than a setting we can configure. Enable2020 needs to support deep-linking through SSO to populate and honor RelayState (SAML) on the auth callback.
