The Table List in the Explorer Window enables you to sort and group tables in various ways.
At the top of the Table List, you can control the sort and grouping.

Subject: Opening Tables in Chronological Order
When I open a new table, it shows up in the Explorer. Obviously. But when I open more tables after that they are not loaded in the order that I opened them. It looks like they are opened in order of grouping similarities in reverse alphabetical order. Correct me if I am wrong. Is there a way to open one table and then open a group of other tables in chronological order?
