    Good afternoon

I recently installed MI Pro v 2023 Release Build 142 and am experiencing regular crashes on a workspace that has been stable up until now. It seems to occur just as I click into a browser window (but not every time). It crashes without warning and with no error. I seem to recall there is a way to set up event logging but I can't recall how? Can anyone help diagnose this? It's a complex workspace with multiple linked database layers and multiple windows. Has anyone else experienced this with the latest version?

    Hi Janet

You can enable detailed logging for the dump files which can be shared with our tech support/engineering team.

I would suggest that you reach out to our support team on this. They can also arrange a screen-sharing session where they can look you over the shoulder to try and identify what happens.

    Thanks

We've also seen regular crashes in MI Pro v 2023 Build 142 when interacting with browser windows.  It seems more common if the browser window is floating vs tabbed.  Also, if I edit data in the info box and then click the middle of a browser window then it's 99% likely to crash.  I emailed support a couple of times for help but they were unable to reproduce the issue.  We've also seen MapInfo deactivate map tools when a map window is active due to using multiple screens perhaps.  Perhaps a MapInfo Support Monday on how to enable that detailed logging on how support would use that to debug the issue?  Crashing with no errors is frustrating and happens many times a day for a variety of issues.
