    Is there a way to update a column with the maximum value of 9 different columns? The Maximum function seems to be limited to three.

    You are looking for the predominant value in your data. There is a nice thread on that topic here: Predominance

    You can also find a tool called PredominanceHelper in the MapInfo Marketplace that can help you extract the predominant value from a list of columns.
