Precisely announces version 2022.1 of our Spectrum-branded location intelligence products that enhances interoperability, user experience, and scalability.
Precisely recommends customers stay current by upgrading to the latest releases of the products. Details of the new features contained within this release can be found in the associated Spectrum 2022.1 Release Notes document linked below.
Overview of Features and Functionality
- Improved scalability and performance for Spectrum Context Graph customers. Spectrum 2022.1 introduces support for external Neo4j. This new capability allows customers to leverage the native clustering and management capabilities of the Neo4j graph database in their Spectrum Context Graph implementations. For further details see the Spectrum 2022.1 Context Graph – New Release Announcement. Further details on this change will be sent in a separate announcement to Context Graph customers.
- Data compatibility and user experience enhancements that enable location intelligence across the enterprise with Spectrum Spatial 2022.1. Web Mapping Tile Service Support connects to third-party services and brings in data layers. Create and replace tables in PostGIS, enabling users to read/write directly on the application. - Spectrum Global Geocoding 2022.1 has new features and functionality. New custom fields in Enterprise Designer for U.S Census data and enhanced metadata and country coverage. For more information, visit the Spectrum Geocoding support page.

Availability
Updated Support Guidelines for Older Releases
Per these policies, support for older versions of Spectrum changes as per the below:
- Spectrum version 2022.1 is now Generally Available (GA) under our support policies and 2020.1 is now designated as GA-1. Both versions are fully supported to allow for investigation, troubleshooting as well as providing workarounds, regular patches and vulnerability updates per our policy.
- Spectrum 2019.1 is now designated as GA-2 under our support policies. Full investigation, troubleshooting, and workarounds are provided under this support level, but only critical security issues are available for patching.
- Spectrum 2018.2 is now GA-3 under our support policies. Full investigation, troubleshooting, and workarounds are provided under this support level, but no software patches are provided.
- All versions prior to 2018.2 are now available for support through our online knowledge base only.
