If the 2026.6 S01 patch is not installed, will this error cause mail.dat's to fail?

    Hello Barb,

The Mail.dat file itself will not abend. However, the data feeding PQT-1102 is impacted, specifically the values required to correctly identify SCF and Mixed patch codes. We always recommend installing all patches that are released to correct issues in the software.

    Thank you and kind regards

    Hi Derek,

If by Data you are referring to the Postal Reference files, then no there are no new Postal Reference files needed for the S01 patch.

If data means something else, please explain.

    Thanks,

Only seeing 1 load module in the patch (MSRPMD00) is this correct?

    Hi Derek,

Yes, the program MSRPMD00 is what generates the PQT file which is being updated. So just one program.

    Thanks,

Regarding mail.dat CSM-1106, we would like some guidance regarding the proper setting of ENT PT facility type (pos 64) using July 2026 Precisely software.  Currently, we have a marketing mail job, entry facility of Danville, KY 40422-9604, facility type set to 'B'.  Going forward, what is the correct facility type (pos 64) setting for this entry point facility?

    Hi Barb,

The Entry Point Facility Type is the value of whatever the USPS site where you are entering your mail. Here at Precisely we are unable to tell you where you are entering your mail. Please work with your Presort Team and your USPS reps if you need helping with this information.

On a side note, the USPS is removing more and more information from the Mail Direction file that is used by MailStream Plus as it eliminates NDC and ADC's.

If you have more specific questions, please open a case and Technical Support will be glad to assist you on your individual job set up.

    Thanks,

Hello, we are testing the S01 patch and we are seeing discrepancies with the package zip code (pqt-1013) when package level (pqt-1102) value of 'M' (mixed working) is present.  According to the 26.1.1.0 mail.dat, the package zipcode (pqt-1013) should be set to '00000' for mixed packages and our test shows a variety of values in this field.  Please let me know if you want files and reports to analyze the situation.

OK not sure if Barb's request was sent to TS.

But I believe if the pqt-1102 Package level is an 'M' the Package ZIP pqt-1013 should be set to '00000'.

This info should have been in the patch if this was what us users needed to do - no?

ALso we were told in the Patch notes that

    Issue addressed in this patch.

    1)       Corrected issue where the Mail.Dat PQT file Package Level (PQT-ll02) was being set incorrectly for SCF and Mixed Packages.

Customers considering this patch should carefully review the defect(s) listed below.

So Mixed Packages Pqt-1102 value is an 'M' SCF is an 'X' - true?

So any PQT-1102 that references ADC should be an SCF X or AADC MxADC, Origin MxAADC should end up being an M   and will this matter to PostalOne! if the old Pqt-1102 codes H,I,K,L are in the pqt. A few files we sent up to PO! 64.0.0 did not flag these codes.
