  • 1.  Linked Query Failing on Server Run

    Posted 11 days ago

    Hey Experts,
We have 3 queries which are linked, they all use the same data template, populating data on their own tabs. The 2nd & 3rd queries execute using data from the 1 & 2nd tabs. When scheduling the query to run via the Foundation Server, it fails for parsing (see error below). When I schedule as a local run, it executes as designed. What might we need to do differently to have these linked queries execute properly on the server? I can provide a copy of the linked query if necessary.

QUERY File PT_EMA and Master Data_KR.Qsq(Link) was not run successfully for the following reason:

Error while parsing XML for DataProps.

    Hi Vanessa

Thank you for reaching out to Precisely Team.Regarding this issue XML Parser Error this error appears If the parser encounters an error, it may load an XML document containing the error description. To overcome this error first I would advise is to rename the template and resubmit it to Foundation ; also if there are any hidden sheets please remove them and then try scheduling.

If this doesnt resolve  the issue ; please create support ticket with the Linked scripts,Template and the Foundation logs.

    Thanks
    Archana

    Hi Archana,
Thank you for the suggestion! I removed all prior versions from Foundation and published a new version with the template having a completely different name. There are no spaces in the name this time. I am now receiving the error message below. I have attached the linked queries and the template.

QUERY File PT_EMA and Master Data_KR2.Qsq(Link) was not run successfully for the following reason:

Error from processor: No input files provided ErrorCode: 2030

    Hi Vanessa
Please check your chain settings.  Have all of the scripts point to using the same output file (Excel workbook) and just about everything the same except perhaps the sheet it extracts to.  I think that is part of the issue since the chain should be writing to the same file (most of the time).

    Hi Sigrid
Thank you for the tip. Each script is pointed to the same template/excel file, each writing to a different tab. When using the custom link settings, with everything (except sheet and start row) set as "All from First Script", I still receive the file not found error. I have re-published with the link settings as "All from Individual Script" and receive the same error. Seems no matter what link settings I use, it fails. I do have an open case with support (PRE-00678191) to try and resolve.
