    Java Development Kit 8 End of Life – Support Announcement

    (Please ignore this notice if you have already migrated to another solution)  

    Dear Precisely Customer:

    Precisely is announcing the process of discontinuing the Java Development Kit 8 (JDK8) within our Spectrum Global Addressing Module (GAM) and Global Geocoding Module (GGM) for Non-United States data.  This includes the following file formats of Geo Addressing reference datasets:

    • Spectrum Platform Data
    • Geocoding
    • Interactive

    We are committed to providing the highest level of customer care, while you transition to our latest JDK solutions.  To better prepare for your transition, please note the following key milestones:

    December 31, 2025

    End of Support for JDK8 file formats on Spectrum v2022.1 GAM & GGM

    June 30, 2026

    End of Support for JDK8 file formats on Spectrum v2023.1 GAM & GGM

    July 1, 2026

    Official End-of-Life of JDK8 file formats

    Our latest version, Spectrum v2024.1, is on the latest version of Java and is recommended.  Please download and use the following file formats from the Precisely Data Experience (PDX):

    • Geo Addressing Reference Data
    • Geo Addressing Autocomplete Data

    Example:

    As a reminder, support for Spectrum v2020.1 and older versions are out of support.  Precisely highly recommends that you upgrade to the latest version of Spectrum.
