Ironstream for IBM Z Now Compatible with z/OS 3.2
Abstract
Ironstream for IBM Z is now compatible with IBM z/OS 3.2. Customers upgrading to z/OS 3.2 can continue to stream their IBM Z operational and security data to downstream platforms, populate their ServiceNow CMDB via Ironstream Discovery, and forward IBM Z events to Ironstream Event Management, all without interruption.
Overview of Features and Functionality
Ironstream for IBM Z is compatible with z/OS 3.2 and continues to operate without interruption on the upgraded platform.
IBM Z SMF records, SYSLOG, and operational log data continue to be captured, parsed, normalized, and forwarded to your downstream platforms.
Ironstream for ServiceNow Discovery and Event Manage for IBM Z continues to populate the ServiceNow CMDB and stream Events on z/OS 3.2. Service Mapping, and Software Discovery for IBM Z are likewise unaffected by the upgrade.
Please note that Ironstream does not yet support all new SMF record types introduced in z/OS 3.2. Support for new record types is delivered incrementally via service packs. Contact Precisely Support, or your Account Executive, if you require a specific new SMF record type.
