I'm looking for someone who has successfully created a template for IA06 for updating/changing/adding long text for the operation on general task list

any discussions on this would be greatly appreciated

Hi Scott,

GUI scripting and navigating into the operation and then uploading a targeted text file can work. I have done this for other types of task lists.

I set it up to delete any existing text, and then upload new. So you have to take appending the text data into account before you start the process. If there is existing long text it can be downloaded and then manipulated in the text files before you delete and upload.

Derek has an approach that may work - thanks for jumping in Derek!

My question - are you wiping and inserting new text, adding to the top or bottom?  If you can swap to the line editor, there are ways to do this without GUI scripting, but you have to decide how you will update it. I may have an example of adding to the bottom somewhere if that's what you're after.
