Hi Scott
Derek has an approach that may work - thanks for jumping in Derek!
My question - are you wiping and inserting new text, adding to the top or bottom? If you can swap to the line editor, there are ways to do this without GUI scripting, but you have to decide how you will update it. I may have an example of adding to the bottom somewhere if that's what you're after.
Please also go to the ideas portal to request IA06 long text functionality built into the Automate Function Module - which will allow you to download and upload the long text as an entire string without breaking it into 72 character lines: https://ideas.precisely.com/?project=AUTM
Also, if you use the search function here in the community and then filter on Automate Studio and Community, there are a few posts asking similar questions, you might get a tip in those posts. Here's the search I did: https://customer.precisely.com/s/global-search/%40uri?language=en_US#q=long%20text&f-commonsource=Community&f-commonproduct=Automate%20Studio
Lastly, here is a link to the documentation on this topic: https://help.precisely.com/r/n/Automate-Studio/Connect/Latest/en-US/Automate-Studio-with-Studio-Administrator-User-Guide/Add-Long-Text
Best Regards,
Sigrid
