  • 1.  GeoMap Base Map Layers not working anymore!

    I used to open the GeoMap layers called "Precisely Bronze", "Precisely Steel" and "Precisely Iron" all the time when designing maps in Mapinfo Pro 19. Now when I click the tool I always used (Open>basemaps >Precisely Bronze/Steel/Iron), an error message appears stating the url requested couldn't be found (see attached image). 

    In the image it reads:

    "This page cannot be accessed

    -Check that the web address https://login.saas.precisely.com is correct
    -Search for this site on Bing
    -Update the page"

    I can't proceed after that message and no layer is added to the workspace. I would like to know if anybody else has had the same problem and if there's any solution for it.

    It would be a shame to lose such an useful tool after so many years.

    Hi Pertro,

    Can you check that you can log out and back in on the Services tab on the Backstage (via the Home tab)?

    Make sure that you are on MapInfo Pro v2019.3 as a minimum.

    I'm using Mapinfo version 2019.3 Build 41, as can be seen in the attached image.

    I couldn't login either via the Services tab you mentioned. I'm attaching below my screen when I try. (note that my Mapinfo is in portuguese)
