Hi Mark,

It could be that MapInfo can't find the DWG anymore (moved/renamed, netowork issues, etc).

Otherwise it is possibly related to a licensing issue, are you able to open a new DWG using the same method?

Also have you tried exporting your data as DXF rathern than DWG and using the new OGR reader in MapInfo 2021? I find this works quite well.

Thanks for replying. I think you found the issue.

I just checked the source file and the dwg I originally used had unbeknownst to me been renamed when another version came in from the consultant. i.e. it had v1 attached to the end. 

I did a new import, probably not realising that there was a second version, and it has worked fine since. One to look out for.

I'm also having a number of issues this week with workspaces that appear to open correctly, i.e. no errors displayed, but are renamed as Untitled.wor. Is this one you are aware of?

Further to this I note that my autosave doesn't seem to be working. I just noted that it and my backup hasn't been modified for 2 days.

Is this perhaps an internal error on our network?

Are you opening the Workspace from within MapInfo or by double clicking in Window Explorer, I am aware the 2nd option is not working and have reported this to Precisely.
