Hi, 

I have a problem with the field material description within a repeating table. The material description is build up automatically based on rules on the fields to the right of the description. It works perfectly fine until I save the form. When the material description includes Subst, P or W is that part removed from the description while the checkboxes for Subst., Plugging or Wrapping are still ticked. 

I checked already if any rules are firing when open the form again but nothing. 

Do you have any idea what could be the reason for this behavior and how I can fix it.

That's a tough one.  It may be that there are rules for the description, which seems to be what is changed, onload.  

One way to check if it's happening when you save is to download the form XML and check the values. 

Go to documents -> your solution -> select the instance and click Version History

expand and see the download form XML

If you look there are the descriptions and they are the same, then it's onload rules that are changing it when you re-open the form.

If the descriptions are different, there is something changing them on save.

many thanks for the tip. The problem was on load which I was able to solve. but I now have more or less the same issue but on approval.  The requestor start the workflow with a button which is 'Save and Route' all goes fine with the description. Approver opens the Form still all correct. Approver Saves the form after adding some info and reopened the form, still all ok but as soon the approver approves the form the Description in changing, Subst. disappears. I see it happening just before the form closes and when checking the xml it is saved without subst. Do you have any tip how I can find the source of this behavior?
