  • 1.  Evolve workflow Rules extraction

    Hello,

Can anyone provide a better way to extract all of the rules in a form that is different from "Rules inspector"? I know this can be used to print and extract, however the view of the extract is not good (does not show red disabled field, not easy to read). Is there a table in SQL perhaps? Seems like there should be an easier way as this would help potential cleanup/management.

    Hi Shelby,

Currently, there is no alternative to the "Rules Inspector" for extracting all rules. There is no dedicated SQL table where rules are stored. Rules are not managed at the database level in a way that can be queried directly. Instead, all rules are embedded within the solution XML package. Because of this design, direct extraction or manipulation of rules via SQL or backend scripts is not currently possible.

However, we are currently in the process of redesigning the Composer UI and the Rules Inspector. We welcome your input on this! If you have suggestions on what enhancements or changes you would like to see - such as better readability, visibility of disabled fields (e.g., red highlights), or improved export formats - please share them. Your feedback will help us shape a more user-friendly and efficient Rules Inspector experience in future releases.

    Hi Divya,

Thank you for the response. As a suggestion, if you try opening the Rules Inspector there is a button to "Print" the rules. However when I tried this none of the formatting stayed (ex. the red lines did not show any red). That should certainly be reviewed and fixed.

After downloading as a PDF and opening file. You can see there is no red color.

    Thank you,
