    Hi all,

    Is there a way for a standard user to delegate an Evolve task for an individual process which has already been assigned?

    I'm familiar with the delegation options under the user profile/settings, but as I understand it those re-assignments can only go down to the solution level, and are also not retroactive.

    Hi Alex,

    For a task to be Re-Assigned, "Allow ReAssignment" property must be set to true under properties for an Activity/Approval.

    once this property is set to true, it will pick users from pool query arguments from the swimlane property.

    Thank you for the reply Hammad. I do have the Reassignment Allowed setting to "True" for the approval nodes I am testing (attached, please let me know if not the same setting). Even so, I do not see the "Reassign" option in the Actions menu when viewing the task in the Tasks list. I only see an "Open" option.

    I tried approval nodes in two different swimlanes, one swimlane assigned to a person, the other to a "Team from Role". Neither allows for re-assignment in the Tasks list. 

    I have looked to see if there was a setting at the App level which might be taking precedence over the solution, but I could not find anything. Maybe I am missing something?

    Hi Alex,

    • if you are trying to reassign a task for a form solution then reassign option will not be available on the task list.
    • To view the Re-Assign option you need to add a 'Process Control' element on the form.
    • Now when the user opens the task, they will be able to see a Re-assign option as shown below :
    • New user can be selected from the dropdown.

    NOTE: Person type swimlane task can not be reassigned.

    For other type of swimlanes, pool Enabled property should be set to true and 'pool argument' property should be set in such a way that it returns some users.

    The user dropdown on the form will be populated with users returned from pool arguments set above.

    On my solution I have the Allow Reassignment set to true, but when I click on Actions in the Task list, I do not see a Reassignment selection. Is there some other configuration that needs to be set in order to see the Reassign in the task list?

    Hi RTX Polley,

    • On task list Re-assignment option is only visible for excel solutions type task and not Form solution type task.
    • For Form solutions, try using 'Process control' element on the form. (Refer above answer for more details)

    You can reassign existing tasks, Go to operations and reassignment.

    You are correct, tasks can be re-assigned from operations page. 

    but NOTE that this option is not available to end users, this is only possible with admin roles.

    Thanks both.

    We do have the ability with Administrator roles to re-assign, however I was primarily interested in options for an end user to re-assign a task - assigned to a person, not a team - already in their task list. It sounds like this is not possible though without using team assignments.
