I know the Automate 25.0 GA release | Automate Product Announcements has just been released. Just wondering if anyone in the forum has updated or has plans to update? I would like to hear hour experience as part of our decision whether or not to update at this time.

We have the intention to upgrade to 25 (simply to get rid of the bugs of 24.0).

Not sure yet how soon. Guess in the next 2months. Would also like to read who of you all, do the upgrade yourself vs hiring the paid service of Precisely.

Just wanted to share some information that may help customers in their decision-making process.  As of today, we've had less than 20 Evolve customers upgrade and none have opened support cases.  If you were thinking of taking advantage of the SAP Data API or Digital Access APIs, we would recommend Studio Manager and Evolve customers upgrade to 25.0.  If you were considering taking advantage of the Studio Fiori app or GUI for HTML automation or using SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud, then we would recommend you consider the 25.1 release which is targeted for availability by end of June since there are further improvements and new capabilities coming that support automating using those SAP clients.  Additionally, there were hundreds of Studio with Connect customers who migrated to Studio with Studio Administrator and some of them had Studio deployment/upgrade issues that were resolved in the 25.0 release so if you concern is more about the Studio upgrade, then 25.0 is the recommended version to consider upgrading to.

We usually upgrade to all new versions, but this time were not able to upgrade to 25.0.

The reason was that Studio has introduced a check that it can only connect to exactly same version, and when I installed Studio 25 on my laptop, it was not able to connect to our Evolve 24 server. I am not sure why this check was introduced and how it is possible to do upgrade of all users and all servers overnight to avoid negative impact in a global environment.

I have raised a ticket and was told that they will consider removing this check in 25.1, but nothing confirmed yet. We raised this with our sales representative as well.

    FYI @Alexey Skotnikov

The check between Studio and Evolve has always been enforced.  However, I was able to connect to Evolve 24.1 with Studio 25.1.  So it seems the checks were removed.  But we will always recommend Studio and Evolve versions to be in sync as soon as it's possible.

    Best Regards,

    Sigrid

we just upgraded from Evolve/Studio 20.3 to version 25. We have only one issue at this time, and that is not being able to have two tabs with Evolve open at the same time.
I followed instructions to remove the logout URL and did an iisreset but it is still happening so my users would like a ticket opened. I am first checking that this is unrelated by way of our identity or AD groups.

We just upgraded from 20.3.2.  In house we have a team that prepared the client software to be deployed to our users.  We scheduled the SaaS environment upgrade with precisely.  They missed the first window and had to reschedule.  I sent an email out to the users a few days in advance notifying them of the outage and instructions to follow once I verified Evolve had been upgraded.  Because they are in India the upgrade was done in early hours so it did not impact most of our users.  Once I verified the site was good, I had documentation ready to send to the users on how to update the client.  No issues have been reported.  We do not use forms, just transactions and will now be using Fiori.
