This training session provides a brief introduction to a proactive monitoring solution that improves operational visibility and reduces downtime by continuously evaluating critical system components. Participants learn how the monitor operates independently as a Windows service, leveraging REST APIs and targeted database queries to identify issues early and generate actionable alerts before users are affected.

The session explores the monitor's architecture, alerting model, and configuration capabilities, including threshold-based monitoring, notification management, and strategies for preventing alert fatigue. It covers out-of-the-box monitoring capabilities, customization options for processing jobs and workflows, and an extensible framework for creating additional monitoring points tailored to organizational requirements.

A comprehensive demonstration walks through the configuration interface, showing how administrators can enable or disable monitoring points, define thresholds, manage job and workflow monitoring at both global and granular levels, and configure email notifications. The session also examines supported notification methods, email provider integrations, test notifications, and alert messages that include recommended remedial actions.

Participants are introduced to the monitoring dashboard and status views, where they can review active alerts, investigate alert details, monitor system health, and analyze historical events through the alert log. Demonstrations include sorting, filtering, date-range analysis, rolling time windows, paging controls, and exporting alert data for further review.

Additional topics include deployment considerations, best practices for starting with a focused monitoring scope, methods for adapting monitoring behavior to specific operational needs, and approaches for extending the framework as monitoring requirements evolve.
