Precisely is announcing the process of discontinuing the Enterprise Geocoding Module (EGM) within our Spectrum technology platform:

This letter is for EGM customers, to inform of Precisely's end-of-support and end-of-renewal plans.
We are committed to providing the highest level of customer care, while you transition to one of our other industry-leading geocoding solutions. To better prepare for your transition, please note the following key milestones:

Over the last 7 years, Precisely has collaborated with its most demanding customers to refine the Spectrum Global Geocoding Module (GGM) product and strategy. GGM provides substantial improvements over EGM in these key areas:
- Removed complexity: One standard global geocoding API that allows you to make informed business decisions and streamline processes. GGM offers one standard way of calling preferences for US and Non-US, standardizing the input and output.
- Global Address Autocomplete capabilities: Streamline processes by quickly returning a list of addresses based on partial address keystrokes using in-country standards.
- Increased performance: Able to scale more efficiently. Performance can be optimized based upon Spectrum resources (i.e., RAM and CPU).
- Streamline with global geocoding in one stage; no more spaghetti-looking Spectrum flows!
For the reasons listed above, GGM has superseded EGM in quality and accuracy and is expanding the types of business problems being solved today. As a result, most Precisely customers have now adopted GGM as their geocoding software of choice; therefore, we have decided to retire EGM. As one of our valued clients, we are offering the following migrations paths:
- Spectrum Global Geocoding Module: Spectrum Global Geocoding is delivered as a Spectrum technology platform module and can be built into stages just like any other component. Spectrum technology platform must already be installed.
- Geo Addressing SDK: Geo Addressing SDK runs spatial processes natively within cloud-native and big data environments using Kubernetes and Spark cluster deployment to unlock valuable context for more informed decision-making with the ability to geocode addresses.
