Enforcive Enterprise Security 8.4.08 – Service Pack Notification
Announcement
Precisely announces the release of Enforcive Enterprise Security 8.4.08. This release provides either a new installation or an upgrade from previous versions of Enforcive Enterprise Security.
Precisely strongly encourages customers to stay current by upgrading to the latest release for Enforcive Enterprise Security. Details of the fixes and new features contained within this release can be found in the associated Readme document.
Overview of Features and Functionality
Enterprise Security 8.4.08.00 Certification and Enhancements
Enterprise Security version 8.4.08.00 has successfully achieved certification on the latest IBM operating system, IBM OS V7R6M0. This update brings several important improvements and new functionalities to enhance system security and operational flexibility.
Enhancements in Report Generator
- Information within the report generator has been updated to incorporate the newly added IBM-supplied User Profiles, ensuring up-to-date reporting capabilities.
- New fields have been introduced to support Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) functionality, aligning with IBM-provided Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) operations.
- The report generator now supports advanced options for dynamically issuing commands. Users can define a command to be executed at runtime, generate its output as a spool file, and convert that output into a file for subsequent SQL statement execution. This provides greater flexibility in report creation and data handling.
System Audit Policy and Security Improvements
- Additional action types have been incorporated into the system audit policy and data providers, specifically targeting Network SMB server operations under the QAUDLVL2 policy.
- Authorization warnings have been integrated into user action auditing, enhancing security monitoring and compliance.

- Java 8 is required by version 8.4.02 and higher. Customers need to ensure that Java 8 is available on the systems where the product is installed.
IBM i OS Levels supported:
- IBM i V7R3M0 or greater (see restrictions for specific modules in the ReadMe)
