Enforcive Cross Platform Security 8.4.11.00 – Service Pack Notification

    Announcement

Precisely announces the release of Enforcive Cross Platform Security (CPS) 8.4.11.00. This release provides either a new install or an upgrade from previous versions of Enforcive Cross Platform Security (CPS).

Precisely strongly encourages customers to stay current by upgrading to the latest release for Enforcive Cross Platform Security (CPS).  Details of the fixes and new features contained within this release can be found in the associated Readme document.

    Overview of Features and Functionality

New Features introduced in this version.

    • Within Password Self Service, the Self-service Policy dialog on both the Registration and Reset tabs now includes the "Check IBM i password expiration" check box. When selected, this option ensures that a verification is performed to determine whether the password has expired. To omit this verification, simply clear the check box.
    • The Users screen in Password Self Service now includes an Email column to show the user's email address, which is also added to its generated report.
Several fixes are delivered in Enforcive Cross Platform Security (CPS) 8.4.11.00:

    Description

    SEC-20051

In CPS Enterprise Manager for SQL Server, in SQL Server Audit policy, users and databases are now automatically sorted alphabetically.

    SEC-20755

In Password Self Service, the password registration is checked during login and the password is reset if it has expired.

    SEC-21333

In Alert Monitor, the trace file now contains the IP address of the input TCP messages. In addition, messages including unusual characters are not written to Alert Monitor.

    SEC-21043

The error "Application protocol error Socket Error # 10048 Address already in use" no longer occurs when CPS sends imported information to Syslog server simultaneously from multiple source systems.
