Hi, Is it possible to write a script to download the memo stored in MD04?

Hi Carmen,

You have three options, since it's not supported via the FM as of yet.  Please go to the Ideas portal and request it.

Option 1 Query - Table STXL - Relid=TX, TDObject=MDTXT, TID=LTXT, then the object is a combination of material and plant, like: "100-100            1000"  (note 100-100 is alpha, so it's blank padded, otherwise it would be padded with zeros)

Option 2 Direct - use RFC_READ_TEXT and use similar values as above - example:

You have to guess as the max number of lines by providing that many D rows.  I found I only had to specify the material+plant once and it output the rest of the lines.

option 3 Transaction - record it and choose a max number of lines to download - so open MD04 with material and plant, click long text and put a space on as many lines as you think you'll need as a maximum - I chose 10.  On the mapper upload material and plant and download all of the text lines

ignore the error - in the log - it opened the word editor in front of the line editor.
