An update was applied to the D360 Govern Dev, UAT, and Production environments on Friday, April 4, 2025

What's New?
The following issues were addressed in this Update:
-
Adjusted the displaying of scores such that if a score is close to, but not quite 100%, the score badge will round down. Similar for a score close to 0% where a score badge will round up.
-
Fixed an issue with adding the References, Assignments, Requests and Data Catalog pages to Favorites
-
Fixed a performance issue when filtering by date range on the Change Log (GET audit) endpoint.
-
Fixed a problem that occurs while bulk loading assets where the asset type contains a date field that is a key property.
-
"Regenerate API Key and secret" button would get stuck when generating new key and secret.
-
Fixed an issue where the summary counts on the home page Activity panel did not match what was returned when clicking for details on one of the line items in the summary.
-
Fixed an issue when recreating user accounts with a different password than what was used previously. The new password was not being set correctly, resulting in users not being able to log in. Note: This is only present in environments that use form-based authentication.
-
Fixed an issue when using lookup fields with cascading lists. Previously the child lists where not correctly limiting to what was selected in its parent field selection.
-
Fixed an issue with the Relationship tab on an asset detail page. Previously the tab was not visible by default. Additionally, non-administrative users who had modify or delete permissions on an asset’s relationships did not see the proper editing controls within the Relationship tab.
-
Fixed an issue where the information icon was not appearing on lookup fields within a "Take Action" form.
-
Updated the search engine within Govern to support near real-time indexing of assets. This should alleviate past synchronization issues which required administrators to go to the Settings page under Administration to selective rebuild search indexes. This administration interface is no longer present.
Upcoming Changes
Simplify the display/lookup of a reference list on an asset detail
Relationships to Reference Lists are incongruous to the intention of relationship functionality and require extra steps to configure and manage. Therefore, we are simplifying the ability to display Reference List information on an asset item by introducing a new field type.
The field type “Reference Item List from Relationship” will be replaced with “Reference List”. When setting up a new Reference List field, administrators will no longer need to configure a Relationship Type to the Reference List Type. Instead, they will only need to configure the Reference List field type on the desired asset type.
When the change is implemented, all necessary conversions and clean-up will be automatically performed for your environment. The Definition Tab should not look any different to an end-user.
In preparation for this change there are a few things you can do.
- Develop your communications plan to educate your administrators.
Deprecating support for relationships to users or groups
Relationships to Users and Groups have been scarcely used in place of Ownership. They do not impact or interface with permissions.
In an upcoming release Govern will no longer allow Relationship Types between asset types and Users nor Groups. All existing relationship types configured in this manner will be removed. Any relationships between assets and users, or groups, will be converted to an owner with read permissions to the asset. The former relationship’s predicate will be used as the responsibility type.
In preparation for this change there are a few things you can do.
- Review the list Relationship Types with a User/Group, and established relationships currently being used in your environment.
- Determine if there is any impact to the assets or your business processes when these relationships and types are converted.
- If desired, create Permissions and/or add Ownership to the appropriate asset items to capture the relationship between the asset items and the Users/Groups.
