Need a script to delete specific line items on BOM using CS02.   When using the position option, we can select the line and component then delete that line.  SAP does not validate the line and component, it will just bring the closest match to the top of the screen.   If the requested line is not truly on the BOM, a different line would be deleted by mistake.

I have tried to put logic on the number and component fields to validate (compare against SAP field) but this is not working for me.

Any thoughts on how to validate that the line you are deleting is the true line you wanted deleted?

hi Tracy, if you are not sure about proper line, run the script two times- first to download comp.# then  IF formula to  compare and second run will delete in case formula returns X. I've quickly recorded script with IF condition inside.Just put your to be deleted component number to column H.script is based on item  line number,but you can change it to search component number as well.Rado
