  • 1.  Change Inspection Type field data

    Hi all,

    I am attempting to create a script that can change specific fields for a given Inspection Type listed on a material. I only saw a few posts for this and was not able to find a solution so far. I am unable to use GUI scripting for my system. In the MM02 Inspection Type screen, there is no ability to search or place the cursor on a specific Inspection Type so MM02 recording cannot be used. I then tried a QA08 recording since you can add a specific Inspection Type in the Mass Processing tab but the issue with this transaction is if you only want to change 1 field, it clears out the other data fields in the Inspection Type back to the default (I suspect it is adding/creating the inspection type again and overwriting data). Finally, I tried this BAPI: BAPI_MATINSPCTRL_SAVEREPLICA. It also gave the same issues as the QA08 recording - removes data in other fields if you aren't updating them even if you add a skip indicator.

    Please let me know if anyone has found a solution for this or has any ideas. It looks like the options are limited when it comes to scripting for Inspection Types.

    Hi Knavis

    You tried everything I would have tried.  :)

    I also attempted the BAPI, and even with the Function select of Update (004), it did replace all values. 

    So I would recommend that you download all values and then adjust what you need to, and upload them.  Or get permission for GUI scripting.
