  • 1.  Building a Query for Multiple Rows of Customer Data

    Posted 09-08-2022 16:28
    Hello Community,

First time using the Winshuttle Query feature and I am building a simple script that will retrieve SAP customer account data from XD02. I was able to work my way through most of process using WS Support and Google but I am now stuck on trying to get the query to run for multiple rows. I can only retrieve information for the first row I input. The goal is for our end user to be able to enter in a list of account numbers and retrieve the data they need from this Query. I am attaching what I have so far. I have it set for cell B2 as the input data which makes sense as to why I am only retrieving information for that row but need to have it set for the entire column B down the list.

Any info you have is appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Knavis

    Hi Knavis,

In the criteria tab you need to change the customer number to in.

Select the three dots, change the list type to dynamic lookup, then configure the list, and finally change the row and column and then select ok twice.  This should pull in the customer per row.

Thank you Scott! Now my script runs all the way down the list. My next issue I am trying to figure is how to skip duplicates or blank rows. If those are included in the data set, it throws off the output data from SAP. Ideally, the user would fix this beforehand in their external spreadsheet but this would be more as a precaution.

    Thanks again for your assistance.
