Hi,

We're considering our upgrade strategy from Automate Studio Manager 20.2 to 24.0 because we have a requirement to upgrade to SAP GUI 8.

The compatibility matrix doesn't list any compatibility with older SAP GUI's, we currently have 760 installed on our Studio Manager server. I'd prefer to do the upgrade in two steps: Studio Manager to 24.0, test and confirm its working on the existing known working GUI, then upgrade the SAP GUI on the server to 8 and test the new combination.

Does anyone have any experience or recommendation with Studio Manager 24 and older versions of the GUI? Am I asking for more trouble not doing the GUI first, for example 760 is known to be incompatible? I'm never sure if anything not listed in the compatibility matrix is known to be incompatible or the matrix is only combinations that Precisely has validated and hence recommends.

Hi

We upgraded to SAP GUI Client V8 PL6, back in May due to a Security Vulnerability.
Consequently, some Winshuttle scripts written in GUI Scripting Mode no longer worked.
We provided those users with a temporary server based install of SAP V7.60 just to use when running the script uploads 
In August, we moved to Studio V24.0 and the subscription licence model, and the GUI Scripting mode scripts started working again

In August, we upgraded to
