Automate (Evolve, Studio Manager and Studio) maintenance release policy

 
For Evolve, Studio Manager and Studio products, we have started supplying maintenance releases.

The purpose of these release will be to includes the customer escalation fixes pending to be merged since the earlier release. Unless otherwise told in the release notes, customers will be able to upgrade to these maintenance releases from the earlier 2 major versions. These releases can also be used by new customers as a fresh install. Maintenances releases will be planned on quarterly cadence unless we have a major release planned in the next few months.

The release notes for the maintenance releases will be provided in the form of support knowledge base articles to help customers in planning for future product maintenance activities as well.

Automate 20.2.8 maintenance release is available from 1 April 2022.

Note: This is not our usual maintenance release because in addition to customer escalation fixes, this release also includes new features.

We are delighted to announce the availability of the 20.2.8 maintenance release as well our first SaaS set of Automate products. The maintenance release consists of the following products:

• Evolve 20.2.8
• Studio Manager 20.2.8
• Studio 20.2.8
• WFM 20.2.8

The SaaS Automate products are hosted by Precisely DevOps in various AWS sites around the globe and come in three packages:

• Studio Essentials (the alternative to Studio with Connect for Japanese market)
• Studio with Studio Manager
• Studio with Evolve

Release highlights:

• Evolve and Studio Manager as single tenant SaaS (Precisely hosted)
• SAP S/4 HANA 2021 is certified with WFM 20.2.8 GA
• Added support for Google SAML SSO with Evolve and Studio Manager
• Added support for Japanese language with Evolve, Studio Manager and Studio products
• Studio installer is localized in Japanese, French, German and Spanish languages

Evolve 20.2.8 is not available for all the customers to install themselves. The download links for Evolve 20.2.8 will not be posted on the product support download links page.

Studio Manager 20.2.8 will be available for customers to install themselves, the download links for this are posted on the product support download links page.

Hi Rishav,

can you tell me where the new versions can be downloaded?

For Studio 20.2.9 we recieved a download link and I installed it already.

But for Evolve and WFM I can't find the links on the download pages and we didn't recieve a link for these.

We plan to go to UAT next month and we like to do that on the newest version.
