Assure Security 7.0.17.00– Service Pack Notification
Announcement
Precisely announces the release of Assure Security 7.0.17.00. This release provides either a new install or an upgrade from all previous release levels of Assure Security 7.0 and 6.0.
Summary of Feature Additions or Changes
This release includes the updated version of License Manager 10.0.21.00.
The Assure Security Web Interface now uses a dedicate user profile to link to the IBM i, which has restricted permissions and lacks special authorizations to limit access to its modules.
The User Class USR has been removed from the WRKQJAUT command. New user profiles cannot be registered with class USR. Existing profiles with class USR are supported and all the functions and commands available to user profiles of class USR will continue to be available to those user profiles. However, if any of the profile fields of an existing USR profile are changed, the profile must be registered with a different class.
This service pack also includes current fixes and details of these fixes contained within this release can be found in the associated Release Notes. Precisely encourages customers to stay current by upgrading to the latest release of Assure Security.
