    Announcement 

    Precisely announces the release of Assure MIMIX 10.0.26.00 This release provides either a new install or an upgrade from all previous release levels of Assure MIMIX 10.0 and 9.0. 

    Precisely encourages customers to stay current by upgrading to the latest release for Assure MIMIX.  Details of the fixes and new features contained within this release can be found in the associated Release Notes.   

    How to Download and Activate the Assure MIMIX Software 

    To access the software and license tools, you must have a Precisely (Customer or Partner) Community account established and have license entitlement.

    Run the Install Wizard on a Windows PC to install the software and apply license keys. Other options to install and apply license keys are documented in the License Manager for IBM i Products manual. 

     *Note: Assure iOptimize files are available in the Assure MIMIX download folders. Assure MIMIX 10.0.23 download folder contains the latest iOptimize files. 

     Summary of Feature Additions or Changes:

      • New Product Level Security (PLS) distribution capability, providing export and import functionality for managing PLS settings across multiple IBM i nodes and installations. 
      • Object replication is improved to more effectively manage IFS object names during move and rename operations.  This will improve performance and prevent errors in environments with multiple object apply (OBJAPY) jobs. 
      • Improvement to job queue replication by ensuring that jobs scheduled to run at a future date and time are accurately replicated and scheduled on the target system after a switch. 
      • There are 19 fixes in this release. 
      • REMINDER! To enhance security of MIMIX environments, the MIMIXOWN password will be changed if it has not already been changed by the user.   In most cases this will be automatically managed by the software upgrade and restart processes.  LPARs with more than one MIMIX instance installed will require the user to perform tasks.  Carefully review the information in the 10.0.25.00 Release Notes on this topic.
